The sky will fall in Mass Effect in early March
Well, crap. I just recently completed my 36-hour trek through Mass Effect. I actually finished an RPG, which may be a personal first. I didn't get the Completionist achievement, but I think I covered the majority of the game anyway. I played almost nothing else for weeks and was quite happy to finish the epic and get back to my usual routine of starting games and leaving them after a few hours.
And now, as expected, BioWare goes and introduces the first downloadable piece, called Bring Down the Sky. The pesky Batarian race from the prequel book is causing trouble, you get an hour and a half of content, a new 50-point achievement, all for 400 Microsoft points starting March 10. Awesome value, including the carefully doled out achievement points, which probably means many more missions to come. Hopefully this is something along the lines of one of the larger worlds like Noveria, and not the usual shack-on-a-planet reskinning of many of the sidequests.
Right now it is unclear whether you need to have a game in progress to get to this new planet, so I may have to dive in and start another session. Sigh. Goodbye, other games I could have played in March. Damn you, BioWare. Oh, and more please!
